Panasonic 4k Varicam

Panasonic have shown us a sneak peak at their Varicam 4k Camera due sometime 2013 at NAB today. Its of modular design as you can see. And will use the AVCIntra (AVC Ultra) recording codec in various bitrates. As its modular parts of the camera should be upgradeable in the future as technology moves forward. No more information is available at this time.

Canon Announcment NAB 2012

Canon is going to be announcing something big at NAB this year. 15th April will see 'The story Continue' screening for the Cinema EOS line and on the 16th 'The next Evolution' Technical Briefing and dinner. So as you can imagine the rumour mill is well and truly turning with talks of 4K EOS camera between the 5D mkIII and the C300. We shall report as soon as I hear anything more.
