So Canon have done it. They have revealed a dedicated video camera based on the EOS line of cameras, super 35mm sensor, PL or Canon EF Mount. There will be two separate models, The PL mount version and the EF mount version, both the same price, so unlike the Sony F3 the mounts are not interchangeable.
Whilst the C300 is the first Canon EOS badged camcorder, it shares many features with the XF305 camcorder:
