Sony F65 Under $100k

More details have been released on Sony's new flagship camera the F65. Sony have suggested it will be under USD$100,000 and that it will be available from September.

The Camera will be able to record 120fps at 4k resolution. The data rate will be 20Gbps at this resolution.

Sony have also announced that a optional mechanical rotary shutter for reducing the motion artefacts inherent with CMOS sensors.

Sony are also communicating with companies such as Apple and Avid so that the 16-bit RAW files the camera outputs will be easily edited.

Other details include the fact that the camera will be a Wi-Fi hub, something seen on other Sony broadcast cameras and a small point but important is that focus assist will be in full HD even up to 4x zoom. Power draw and connections should be the same as the F35 .
